WHAT TYPE OF PORTRAIT CAN I ORDER??

Capture your beloved pet's likeness in your very own coloured pencil portrait. This could also be a perfect gift for another pet owner that you know

Do you have a particular wildlife animal that you'd like an original drawing of? I'd be happy to work with you to create this portrait for you

I'm always looking to draw new things so feel free to ask me about drawing something other than animals - I have been commissioned to draw people & buildings in the past

STEP 1 : CHOOSE YOUR PORTRAIT

Firstly, have a look over my current price list and decide which size you'd like to order. If you can't decide which you'd like then feel free to let me know and I can help you choose.

 

These are just my standard sizes so if you're wanting:

​

  • A different size

  • A different ratio (rectangular or square)

  • 4+ subjects

then I can give you a quote.

ORDERING OUTSIDE THE UK

If you live outside the UK, additional postage costs will be added to the cost of the portrait - I'll discuss this with you when we talk about your order.

 

Also you would be responsible for any sales tax on your end if this applies to your country.

STEP 2 : REFERENCE PHOTO

TIPS:

  • You will ideally need a high quality head shot photo so I can capture the most detail within the drawing.

  • Natural daylight through a window is the best lighting for the photo

​​

  • Key features such as eyes and nose should be clear

​​

  • Best to take multiple pictures to find the best one, I recommend holding your pets favourite treat or toy behind the camera, so they focus on that, maybe move it up and down or to the sides to try different angles to find a position you’d prefer

Feel free to check if your photo's are suitable by emailing them to me and I'll check over them.

WHAT IF MY PET HAS PASSED?

  • A lot of my previous commissions are of pets who have sadly passed. If this is the case with your pet then send me whatever photos you have and I will see what I can do.

STEP 3 : SECURING YOUR BOOKING

Once you've chosen your portrait size and reference photo, it is time to secure your booking. If you haven't done so already, send me an email and we can discuss the details and process of your portrait.

Your booking is not complete until a 50% deposit (non-refundable) is made. The remaining 50% will be made once the portrait is complete and you are 100% pleased with the outcome.

STEP 4 : CREATING YOUR PORTRAIT

If you would like to stay updated through the creation of your portrait then I can send you regular updates as I go - or it can be a surprise once I feel it's complete.

 

The time a portrait takes to complete differs depending on the size and number of subjects. If you have a deadline as to when you need the portrait, then please let me know so I can take this into account when choosing your waiting list slot.

Once you are 100% happy with the final drawing, the remaining 50% payment can be made.

STEP 5 : DELIVERY & REVIEW

DELIVERY:

Once I have received your final payment, I will package your drawing up securely and post it to you.

REVIEW:

I would love to hear your thoughts once you receive your portrait so please let me know.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

I want you to be pleased with every transaction and every contact you have with me which is why I make sure everything I create is to my highest standard and ability. Here are a few clarifications:

PERSONAL INFORMATION

  • I only collect personal information that I feel is necessary to process your order and complete commissions as requested.

  • I will never pass on any information to a third party except for purposes of fulfilling your order, and if required to do so by law (e.g. preventing fraud)

PAYMENT POLICY

  • Payments are accepted via PayPal or credit/debit card. If the order is carried out via social media or email, I will raise a PayPal invoice to you, that you will receive in your inbox– a PayPal account is not required for this transaction method to take place

  • For commissions, I charge a 50% deposit to secure your booking (NOT refundable) – once you have seen what I have created and are completely happy with the result, I will accept the final payment and post your drawing to you.

DELIVERY POLICY

  • UK orders will be posted via Royal Mail.

  • International orders will be posted via Royal Mail international services and therefore use a variety of other postal companies.

​

  • UK postage prices are included in the product cost. International postage may be more however so this will be an additional cost - This will be clarified in the quote. 

  • You would be responsible for any sales tax on your end if this applies to your country.

  • Please note that I will inform you of the estimated delivery time of your order, but I cannot be held responsible for delays caused by the postal services.

  • Urgency – should you require an upgraded postal service to receive your order faster, please contact me at the time of order to discuss this – it may result in higher postage cost. 

  • Where possible, I am happy to accelerate orders if necessary while ensuring the quality is maintained – please discuss this with me if this applies to you.

REFUND POLICY

  • My main focus is that you are pleased with your purchase, if you are not completely satisfied with your order for whatever reason, please get in touch and we can resolve the issue.

​

  • Commissions 

  • I will be in touch with you throughout the creation process to ensure there are plenty of opportunities to make corrections and I only send your order once you are completely satisfied with the outcome.

​

  • Prints, or any other item from my shop 

  • You can cancel and return your order within 30 days of receiving it for a full refund, the items must be unused and complete with its original packaging. Your refund will be processed within 14 days of me receiving the item. It is advisable to get proof of postage for any goods you are returning to ensure that you are compensated by the carrier should your parcel go missing.

  • If your order is personalised or bespoke, please note that you cannot cancel your order after delivery and refunds are not available unless the item is damaged. Please ensure you are clear with exactly what you want your order to be before ordering - they will be created following your instructions and refunds will not be available for errors if they existed in your original order.

  • If your order is damaged or faulty, please contact me to arrange the return of the order. I will reimburse postage costs if we have agreed on the amount prior to the return of the goods.
